Spotlight: Tezos Community Rewards Winners

“If I don’t have a technical background, can I still become a Tezos developer?”

Absolutely yes! The Tezos community will make sure to help you get started.

This week, we featured two recent Tezos Community Rewards winners, Claude Barde and Vince Ferraiuolo for a conversation that offered a community-level perspective on the many different aspects of the global tapestry of the Tezos ecosystem.

Claude, a fixture in the online community known for his helpful tutorials and dapp development, shared his experience as a self-taught programmer who became interested in Tezos late last year and has since gone on to work on over 70 projects on the protocol. “I think about something, I want to see how it works, I want to make it work,” he said, describing his motivation to keep building and experimenting on Tezos.

Vince gave us a glimpse at the upcoming Tezos news website, XTZ News, which, interestingly enough, began after Vince heard about the rewards program during a TQuorum Tezos Town Hall. XTZ news, he says, will feature articles and a podcast series highlighting the different corners of the Tezos ecosystem and help create a resource for people of all experience levels interested in Tezos.

Robert Fontaine, Community Manager at the Tezos Foundation, also touched on the grants process and gave helpful tips to interested developers on how to get started.

Stream this Session and get involved with the global Tezos community. We’re excited to see you there!
