In the past year Nomadic Labs has integrated the Sapling protocol from ZCash in Tezos' smart-contract language. Now it's time to extend this work with more privacy-preserving building blocks for smart-contract developers.

Many projects have recently launched to bring DeFi to Tezos. USD Tez (USDtz) has been chosen by the community for the next TQuorum Session. 

Kevin Mehrabi, Founder of USDtz, will describe the Tezos DeFi ecosystem, outlining different roles and paths of participation, as well as providing an overview of projects from Tezos Stable Technologies, along with its roadmap.

Curious about staking on Tezos? Token holders that are interested in taking a more active role in the network can get started with baking, the Tezos term for block creation. This allows them to participate in the governance structure and have a hand in deciding the future of the protocol. In an effort to enhance the experience for new and experienced bakers alike, Kiln was created.

At the next TQuorum Session, we will explore the features of Kiln, including the recent release of Kiln for MacOS.
