This month’s Town Hall will offer you the opportunity to ask our panel of experts about the details of the features being implemented in an upcoming protocol amendment proposal on Tezos, including Sapling integration, tickets, and bug fixes.

This week’s TQuorum Session will focus on the latest developments in improving your privacy on Tezos. In the past year Nomadic Labs has integrated the Sapling protocol from ZCash in Tezos' smart-contract language. Now it's time to extend this work with more privacy-preserving building blocks for smart-contract developers.

Marco Stronati and Marc Beunardeau from Nomadic Labs will provide an overview of the plan for privacy on Tezos. Join us as Marco & Marc dive into the technical challenges of implementing modern zero-knowledge proving systems, as well as the technical aspects, and innovations of Sapling.

The Birth of Tezos DeFi: Seeding the New Tezos Token Economy

Many projects have recently launched to bring DeFi to Tezos. USD Tez (USDtz) has been chosen by the community for the next TQuorum Session. 

Kevin Mehrabi, Founder of USDtz, will describe the Tezos DeFi ecosystem, outlining different roles and paths of participation, as well as providing an overview of projects from Tezos Stable Technologies, along with its roadmap. 

He’ll be breaking down aspects of the project, including how USD Tez and the expanded 'StableTez' Tezos stablecoin project, including its governance system/token, SABZ. He’ll also explain how the USDtz staking/supplying will operate, and how that will lead to lending/borrowing on TezFin.

Staking and Baking on Tezos with Kiln

Curious about staking on Tezos? Token holders that are interested in taking a more active role in the network can get started with baking, the Tezos term for block creation. This allows them to participate in the governance structure and have a hand in deciding the future of the protocol. In an effort to enhance the experience for new and experienced bakers alike, Kiln was created.

At the next TQuorum Session, we will explore the features of Kiln, including the recent release of Kiln for MacOS.
